The last time I was in the taller ( more than a year ago) a Reyes cost 8400 euros. Since he is well over 80 and has a long waiting list, you can forget a new guitar from Manuel. The hijo cost half, 4200. I understand that he now has a long list, being the son of his father.

Condes are not made by Conde, but the top models are very good: not as good as Reyes but a 1000 times better than Reyes hijo.

Of course you would have to play them to know what you like and your opinion might be the opposite of mine.

I think Mundo-Flamenco in Germany has 2 old Reyes for sale:

one is from 1961 for 6900,00 Euros
one is from 1963 for 4500,00 Euros

I dont know details about these guitars, just wanted to inform you.

Hola

The prices were correct as given to me by Manuel Reyes. Since it was a couple of years ago, I imagine they are now higher.

You cannot compare a guitar of the hijo with one of the padre. Nor should you ever buy an expensive guitar without examining it. It should be properly constructed, well finished, comfortable and should sound well. Otherwise look elsewhere.
