Do you take yourself serious? u bet, i dont like saying it, but if u wanna get down to details. i came up with the group solos ideas, infact i mixed the first one, i had a thread where people that were looking for tab ( when we didnt have rules against it)would write what they need and i shared most of it with them. i think the tread is " Make your request for tablature here" 5500 hitts" and while we were doing it , i halped almost every single person that asked for it. i made loops , i made loops with counting along for beginners, i shared exercises, and i put many smiles on many faces. there , that is what i did if u gonna lough at me when i tell you, what did you do with those 150 posts ? Maybe you´re right, but I still think my dad is stronger than your dad

ORIGINAL: Ricardo [ (Mark was one other guy that gave chords in that chord thread remember). I am gonna tell Chusco you are putting up some of his chords and ideas and music on the forum. How will he take it? That's my point-I have stuff from Chus, Canito, Pedro Cortes, Jason McGuire, Mariano Cordoba, David Serva, Miguel Linares, and on and on. Jason in particular told me I don't care where you play my stuff, gigs whatever. But he never said "Go ahead and put my stuff on the net." Neither did any of the others. I respect all of those guys and am not going to decide to upload the stuff they showed me. It's not for me to decide. Maybe they wouldn't care, maybe they would. This is my personal feeling on the matter, and I'm not slamming Romerito for sharing the stuff he does. Romerito, I enjoy your participation on the forum and hope you continue. I wasn't reffering to you with my comment about being "chapped" The chords I posted, some were shown to me by other players, some are mine. I don't think showing a chord is stepping on anyone's toes. I also think that at a certain level, if your good enough to play something, your good enough to figure it out. El Ted, that's an excellent point about the lack of permission to sell Diego's music. I have no idea how Diego would've felt about it. I don't know what was said when he taught those falsetas. I was simply commenting that it was a super deal if you want his falsetas. Anyone who has taken private lessons knows you get something like two-three falsetas per lesson for $30-50.00 People who think 110.00 for 400 falsetas is some kind of rip off obviously don't understand that. And for the record, I don't know the guy who is selling it, and don't own it, never seen it.

Romerito, I really like you man...you're a good player and really interested and a good poster with a good sense of humour. This site was never intended to be a vault of falseta tabs or archive of technical exercises, but more of a place where people from all over the world interested in Flamenco can get together and exchange views and ideas. Folk get to know each other and a bit of banter or even hostility breaks out from time to time...but that's par for the course, as in any real life situation. There are Encuentro Videos/DVDs, Books, Tabs, Courses, Masterclasses, Personal teachers etc around for anyone wishing to put the money, time and effort into learning how to play. As somebody already pointed out.. You're not going to learn Flamenco guitar from strumming away in your bedroom and looking at an Internet site. The one's who don't have the time or commitment will have to wait for the "Learn To Play Flamenco In Under Two Weeks Or Your Money Back!" sites that no doubt will be up in the near future! Although I think your idea of a Tabs Library is admirable, if folk don't take it up..then you don't just pack your bag and go. I've been on and on at folk for ages to put their location in their profile, but a lot of folk don't. So what do I do? Hold a black comb below my nose and say.."You Vill do Ziz or be Banned"? Or "That's it. You guys aren't playing the game here...so as far as this Forum's concerned...I'm gone...." Nah, the Forum is comprised out of people. Without people, there is no Forum. So as long as folk are civil, then who am I to tell them what to do? I've picked up a helluva lot of stuff over the years here, as well as being introduced to players I didn't know much about and finding interesting things and also having a laugh. I can't go round to my local pub and strike up a conversation with somebody about problems I have with Flamenco phrasing and timing....or some great thing I've heard... I check the Forum out about 4 times a day, since Simon asked me to help with Administration, to check that no trolls are creating havoc etc. Like you, I didn't really want the job...but what do you expect the guy to do?? Buy the forum software out of his own money...Spend weeks knocking it into shape (Simon is an ex-Microsoft Engineer)....Launch it and support it with his own money and skills... Administer it 24 hours a day... All for FREE!! As I said, the Forum is simply a meeting point for people. There are great posts from time to time... You never see Ricardo or Zata taking the huff over stuff and these folk are VERY experienced in what they do. If the plug was pulled here and you got "Error404..Service Unavailable" instead... Then all you would have left is to surf the net. Or practise, as folk are always saying... (Though I bet they don't....I bet they just surf the net.. ) cheers Ron
