Alegrias basic timekeeping (tapping,...

Ok... We´ve been through bulerias 200 times now and very good, I´m still improving.

BUT, there are other palos and I need to improve my alegrias, so I would like some inputs on the following:

Tapping, where should I tap? (I´ve understood that I need to tap in order to be flamenco

)

Palmas: A dancer told me to do accents on 3 7 8 10 12. Any other suggestions?

Depending on the speed, you can really be tight if you tap every beat, 1-12. Chicuelo does that. I will mix that with 12,3,6,8,10 personally. Solea and Solea por bulerias, the same. Again it is personal choice and what you are comfy with when playing whatever it is. Sometimes on a falseta it is every beat, but rasgueados it is usually the accents only for me.
