You know, it's funny. I saw her on the Love Boat &c when I was a kid. I remember seeing her with the guitar, but I she had made such a joke out herself that I didn't think she could really play it.

Apparently Guitar Player magazine named her best flamenco player twice. Obviously they probably have no clue what flamenco really is, but I guess she must be pretty OK for them to like her for more than her breasts.

A quick Google Image Search indicates to me that Charo is/was perhaps "the most attractive Flamenco Guitarist" ever. Although if she plays gigs like Vegas, etc, I would probably question the authenticity of her musical content. Still, some of the images are good for "Check out the Fusteros on that!" moments... If you know what I mean.

I get so sick and tired of people saying, " hey you where amazing and then say reminds me of spanish music like Estaban" or yeh I love Otmar Liebert and" I told them that Estaban and Otmar where not Flamenco or spanish in any way and they where suprised.

I suppose this Charo with the big tits is in that catagory as well. I may not be a Gypsy but I work so hard on being Flamenco that it is insulting when someone campares you to others. I suppose it's common to associate you with some one they know, maybe it is there form of a compliment.

I had some supprised people from Spain that saw the Man of la Manch show. One lady told me I represented Flamenco very well, wich I thought was an honest and complimentry remark. And another, a dancer from spain thats wants to perform with me, I hope it happens so bad.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzJust babbilin way sorry.

Anyway,,,,

I wouldn't put her in that company so fast. She is Spanish, and although I don't think she's a contender for Tomatito's gig, I've heard her do a fairly decent job on some classical numbers. She has enough skill and cojones to play on TV in front of large audiences, etc. Certainly a professional entertainer. She may have been a much stronger player when she was younger-I think she's in her sixties now. I heard her show has flamenco dancers as well, but also heard a strange rumor that she hired a guy sitting behind a curtain to accompany them. I have no idea if there's any truth to that. Finally, i heard a rumba from one of her records on the radio-it sounded pretty darn good for that style.
