Richard i saw that you have a few gigs with (fellow swede) Ulrika Frank? I dont really know her very well but i met her at the Nordic Flamenco Festival in Stockholm last year. Is she making a living as a dancer over there now?
She is established in this area (wsh DC). Your quesion is sort of personal (making a living?), not sure the best way to answer on a public forum. You should probably contact her about that. I tease every swede I meet about if they have heard of Yngwie, she said she taught his sister flamenco!
So anymore personal info, pm or email her I guess.
I hear you Richard, i was just curious about the amount of jobs in general, is it possible to make ends meet as they say, playing/dancing flamenco in the u.s?
And Yngve (thats the way its spelled) what can i say, he worked very hard and got famous and i respect that, he is good at what he does i guess.
Personally i find him a bit embarrassing but thats more because of his oversized ego, he is just one of many poodle haired rockers w spandex and mammoth ego´s that i find equally embarrassing.

Sure it is possible. Lots of doors have been opened already by artists already established in certain areas, but work does not fall into the lap. You have to sometimes make it happen. I have plenty to discuss about this but I would prefer to do it privately if you are really interested. For exmple if you wanted to come here and play for her, sure she would get you some work, but what kind of car do you drive, where do you want to live, etc, might mean getting some other work or a supportive spouse. Get my drift? Making ends meet means different things to different folks.
