In the global market, the Camps M7 guitar is priced about the same as the Alhambra 5F. However, for the purpose of my question, please completely disregard global pricing. Prices in my country are structured very differently. Here, the price of a Camps M7 is equal to the Alhambra 7FC and the Cuenca 80FC.
The Cuenca 80FC might not be easily found in the global market, but it exists here in my country at the brand's official dealership (the name and address are listed on the brand's own website).
I know that the Alhambra, Cuenca, and Almansa brands are all essentially the same. But what is my dilemma? I have held and tried the Cuenca 80FC and 70FC models. The body of the 80FC is lighter, but the weight of the neck is quite noticeable in both models. I can really feel the heaviness of the neck. Does this issue—feeling the heaviness of the neck—also exist with the Alhambra 7FC?
The Camps M7 is very lightweight and has a very comfortable, playable neck. When I hold this guitar, I don't feel the weight of the neck at all, perhaps because it is made of cedar. But despite having laminate back and sides, it costs exactly the same here in my country as the Alhambra 7FC and Cuenca 80FC.
Now I am torn on what to do. Should I get an all-solid wood guitar where I have to deal with a heavy-feeling neck, or a lightweight, comfortable laminate guitar? My options are limited; these are basically it. The Almansa 447FC is also available here, but its price is much, much lower.
Does anyone have any experience with these that they could share with me?
