A few years ago, I made some posts about two young artists: Samuelito (now known as Sangitananda) and Antoine Boyer. You can find those old threads here:
I’ve had the chance to see Antoine perform two or three times in France in various settings (solo, duo with his wife Yeore Kim, with Samuelito, etc.), and it has been a fresh and wonderful experience every time. I highly recommend checking out his YouTube channel: Antoine Boyer Music. It is full of gems, from Scarlatti sonatas to jazz standards and original compositions, played on nylon-string, gypsy jazz, and electric guitars.
He also recently recorded with the legendary Yamandu Costa. Antoine is clearly one of the greats of his generation—a true musician with something unique to say.
What about you? Have you heard of him before, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
if you love counterpoints :)
