excellent timing, good job. Also, beautiful golpeador. Seriously, you need to get a proper flamenco guitar at your playing level. It will change your life.

They will never give you a flamenco guitar. Yet they constantly remind you to buy one.

ToddK used to play and record with a $350 Yamaha. If you guys make some nice videos playing your best, and ask for donations for an upgrade, see what happens.

Rombsix recorded with it too:

Surely you can both rustle up a few hundred pounds?
(Devilhand is your been saving 5 pounds each day since you joined this place you'd be good to go now! )

One of you is talking a lot about going pro and the other is just talking a lot. You are clearly into this stuff so.....

Also metalhead? No flamenco guitar in your country?
I find that difficult to believe in 2025. But what about ordering a cheap one on line?

Doesnt have to be a 3 grand guitar.

Really good!

There are loads of reasonable starter flamenco guitars about for less than £500 GBP.

What are import costs like where you are?

I haven't checked because I'm not sure a guitar shipped from abroad is gonna be in one piece when it arrives

yes . when I'm going fast it's more of a jerk motion from the wrist but the momentum for me definitely comes from the wrist

What is your string height at the bridge and at the 12th fret?
Looks like your string action is low enough for flamenco guitar playing.

Your guitar also looks to be made of err... wood, which is suitable for flamenco playing.

RE: Alazpua por solea (in reply to metalhead

I keep comparing the $350.00 Yamaha full size solid top classical and flamenco models with much more expensive guitars. Really you could get the 350 dollar Yamaha Blanca and go out and play gigs with it. I’ve compared them with guitars that cost four or more times the cost of the Yamaha and it’s so close, or the Yamaha is far superior that not getting cone is folly.

The next price tier up from the Yama is 2000 USD. Last month I compared one to a 1000 USD Takamine and it was no contest the Takamine was a slug.

I fixed a cracked top on my cg171sf a couple years ago and realized the fan struts were uncarved square sticks! Top was thick too. I mean Who needs salted braces?

This one CG182SF

The most inexpensive model. It’s about $270.00 USD they usually play with the set up right out of the box.
