The title of the article is compelling - "Award-winning bullfighting documentary likely to anger aficionados and abolitionists alike". Makes me want to see this. Hopefully it'll end up on YouTube or one of the Spanish networks' online archives sooner than later.

"Movistarplus se hace con los derechos de ‘Tardes de Soledad’ y lo emitirá también en su modalidad de streaming"

I’d like to see that. It’s good its been made because bullfighting is on the way out and it should be documented.

On its way out just like flamenco. Seems they have been trying to get rid of it since 1567:

EXCOMUNIÓN A PERPETUIDAD San Pío V: Bula "DE SALUTIS GREGIS DOMINICI" (1567) Bullarum Diplomatum et Privilegiorum Sanctorum Romanorum Pontificum Taurinensis editio, Vol VII, Augustae Taurinorum 1862, pages 630-631

I can't seem to find an open read source for this above if anybody can find it?

Sure sure I get it, the bulls were popular with the people because everyone who lived then lived to see animals butchered in the market stall. But today bullfighting is up against the crazy people watch ‘My Octopus Teacher’ and want to ban eating them, because they are sentient. Ever talk to those people? They think these are cozy human loving beings. They are stone cold killers and if they were a little bigger they’d be eating human pork chops.

I acknowledge there are a lot of animals and insects out there that are complete A holes. However, I sympathize with the plants (maybe not the carnivorous ones as much, sneaky jerks), and we just are learning how they have some conscious experiences and communicate with each other underground network style. I mean they can’t move and we come and pick their fruit (like robbing them of their bloodlines), or worse, stick them alive, into a blender to make a “healthy drink”. Harvest them just to light on fire and inhale??? Horrific. A lot of them don’t even taste good, we have to put butter on them and other dressing just to get them down. They provide us life giving O2 and scrub most of the CO2 that we rudely fart out, can’t we be thankful? I refuse to eat them on principle.

O my god! The non vegan plants are such underhanded creeps! Eating insect flesh and being sold under salacious human given names like Venus Flytrap and Monkey Cup.

RE: Tauromaquia (in reply to estebanana

yes , huge pressure to end as it is (stiking irons on the animal and sometimes killing him, well in spain normaly ends that way)

Its stupid not to change somekind the show or art.., like not kill the animal or stiking the irons , i think that i saw somewhere (canada?) that the animal had a kind of cushion pillow where the irons were puted.

I saw them since child and they should change , if you dont change they will change you or killing it.
They should change the "show" , for example , Rodeo is great , pure , more even, man vs animal .
