No, they got better. The version used in Fandango and Soleá por bulerías adds a pull off for groups of 4 per beat instead of triplets (16th notes). I have added a brief example in my book in the section of Soleá por Medio Arpegios (p.84, mm 6-7). The technique is called “horquilla” or hairpin, like the three pronged thing, but regardless if your rhythm is 3 or 4 groupings.
