ORIGINAL: Escribano

Back to my original supposition, would Operation Overlord been as it went, or even possible had not the engineer corps of Germany been pulled off the French coast? We never know.

Dunno, but The Atlantic Wall was poorly manned with a lot of old soldiers, youngsters and "non-Aryans" as the Eastern Front was more important to the defence of Germany. Panzer divisions were too far away in the early days and German stayed fighting within range of Allied naval guns.

All down to Hitler's interference and doctrine.

All true stuff, which made the odds even better that Tom Hanks would ultimately find Pvt. Ryan …

“I think that it is a spiritual disaster to pretend that one doesn't love one's country. You may disapprove of it, you may be forced to leave it, you may live your whole life as a battle, yet I don't think you can escape it. There isn't any other place to go—you don't pull up your roots and put them down someplace else. At least not in a single lifetime, or, if you do, you'll be aware of precisely what it means, knowing that your real roots are always elsewhere. If you try to pretend you don't see the immediate reality that formed you I think you'll go blind.”

Don't know if Snow mentions it in his podcast, but in 1938 Chiang Kai Shek ordered the Yellow River dikes to be breached and the huge expanse below flooded in order to impede the Japanese march toward Wuhan. While it did impede the Japanese advance, it also resulted in a massive disaster for the Chinese in the flooded area. It is estimated that 900,000 Chinese peasants died and more than three million were left homeless.

Shocking that it happened. The secret order world government that’s been geo- modifying the fragile atmosphere of the earth did it. After years of secret planning the clandestine group of evil Davos scientists created a storm to wipe out the Burning Man celebration in the Nevada Desert.

Those nefarious Davos secret scientists made a rain weapon to destroy Burning Man. It will go down in the annals as a flood weapon on par with the Dam Busters and the Destruction of dikes on the Yalu.
