Carmen

I recently participated in Minnesota Opera's production of "Carmen," which ran from May 7th to May 22nd, 2022 at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in St. Paul, Minnesota. Among other segments, I had the opportunity to perform the solo shown in this video. For this solo, I arranged the seguidilla from Act I ("Près des ramparts de Séville"), imbuing it with a flamenco flavor as inspired by Paco de Lucia's rendition in the 1983 Carlos Saura movie "Carmen," and proceeded to the "Entr'acte" that opens Act II.

Awesome. Both guitar playing and stage design. Are you modulating to a new key at 0:51?

Thank you, all! Yes, the thing at 0:51 was a modulation to get to G minor (the Entr'acte key).
