RE: Adres Jorge de Zofia in Jerez? (in reply to gerundino63)
Just go to the southern-most corner of Plaza del Arenal, look up, and start bellowing JORGE!!! like you’re Marlon Brando calling for Stella in Streetcar Named Desire. Worked for me….
Seriously, it’s probably best to look him up on Facebook and contact him using Messenger (that’s actually what I did). His shop is in the Plaza but it’s not at all apparent (no storefront). He’s a lucky guy, it’s a beautiful location for a shop, the rooftop view of Jerez is stunning.
*edit* sorry, I missed that you don’t have Facebook and your friend doesn’t have internet. I guess the Brando method has merit, after all…

I just came from Jerez yesterday. A friend of mine bought a guitar from Jorge and was with him two days ago. Jorge moved recently and he's still on [edited by Admin] , but no longer on the south side. He's either on number [edited by Admin]. Tell your friend to try to ring the door bell. If he misses the neighbors will know because Jorge has his workshop on a communal part of the building on the rooftop.

I think it would be prudent to contact him through a messaging service first, before ringing his bell unannounced. When I visited him I didn’t get the impression his shop was open to walk in visits, and was more likely by appointment only. But I don’t want to put words in his mouth, he’s a member here and can weigh in on his preferences if he still follows the Foro.

My friend was there yesterday, but could not find him. Nobody on [edited by Admin] seems to know Jorge de Zofia. He visited the day before Victor Quintanilla, and ordened a flamenca negra from him.
@RobF, it is indeed more prudent to contact him first, but sometimes time and possibilities makes you take other decisions.

My friend visited him today. They had a wonderfull time. He had a very nice blanca, very light 1080 gram. But it was for a client. He finally found him on the Plaza de Arenal. 😃
