Chato de la Isla

Chato´s mother Concha had 24 children. Almost all of them died, some when months old, some with one or two years. Chano was born in 1926, a twin, but his twin died shortly after birth.Only four survived and three of them died young. Chato was the only survivor.

It is sobering to compare the flamenco de hoy with the flamenco de ayer.
