I received the CD and book from Flamenco World. It actually contains all the pieces from his two records, 19 in all. Some quite similar to PDL's like the Fandango, Alegrias and one of the Rumbas. I must say it has become instantly one of my favourites. I just wonder if El Nino Miguel gets royalties from this edition.

Me too, its one of my favorite solo guitar albums ever. And I really hope Miguel benefits from the royalties. If anyone knows where I can find some of his tabs, please let me know.

The guy doesn´t specially need a new guitar. There other much more important things.
Its rough to live in the streets in Spain. In Huelva at least the climate is mild.

Mmm, If you gave him a new guitar, he could sell his old one and buy some food or something. I really hope his luck changes... he is literally one of the most played artists on my Ipod!

We tried this once for Parilla (the guitarist who had a stroke) and only 3 people (myself and admin included) contributed.

But let me just say that despite my finincial limitations atm, I would certainly be willing to contribute to an officially organised fund.

sorry to be pessimistic but i dont think that a new guitar or money would help.

What may help long term would be an alcohol rehabilitation program. And he must be willing to that himself and not be forced.
And if he could make it, then we can discuss about other things!

Henry, here's the original thread, I'm not sure if its the "De Jerez" one, but apparently he WAS from Jerez:

Maybe Arash is right that ca$h is not the answer, but it does feel a shame not to contribute somehow, especially since I blast my ears with him playing his buleria every week on the train to college.

Let me know if you guys decide to sort something out.

Hay guys,

But the new guitar will really cheer him up,

As I understand that he was experience a sociological problem,

There also one thing more,

Where is his family, his brothers, sisters and friends?

He seems to be left out,

I am sure that his situation is very difficult,

RE: El niño Miguel (in reply to sonikete

Please remember guys that we are interested in Niño Miguel because he´s a guitarist. There are tons of others in the streets. Psycological problems together with drugs a boose .... You find them everywhere on all levels of society. Rich ones you dont see, because they are hidden in their homes or on some private clinic. Poor ones beg in the streets. Besides the amount of money they have, the problem is the same.

Niño Miguel has a guitar... Thats how you recognize him from the others in the street.
