Does anyone have any experience repairing a broken handle on a Hiscox LiteFlite Pro II case?
I had literally just walked through the door of the dance studio this afternoon, and the front half of the handle became detached from the case. (I was able to catch it in time, so the case didn't fall to the floor).
Is there any easy fix for this? Warning: I'm not a luthier, and my tool collection consists of a hammer and a screwdriver.

I had problems with the springs on the latches of one of my four Hiscox cases. After a email to Hiscox, they quickly sent me all the replacement latches I needed. I think they will take care of the handle issue for you.
I'm sad to report that Hiscox has not been helpful. They took a week to respond to my initial inquiry, and they haven't responded to either of my follow-up emails. It's been a week since the second follow-up. Annoying.

Usually, Hiscox are good at replying and pretty helpful. The problem may be that during the Covid thing they have been closed for much of the time. That may be why you're not hearing from them. Also, the supply of their cases is starting to dry up in some places.

Yeah, I was afraid that might be the case.

Any idea how extensively? Did that start to happen only after the pandemic had begun?

In my local area, there is a second generation cobbler who also does really fine leather work on clothing and luggage. I found him when I became interested in fine leather dress shoes. He installed a new handle on my case.
