quote:
February 1918-November 1918 is “During” WW1 not after it, 9-10 months of overlap That was only a small part of a much longer epidemic though.... I said "post ww1" so i got the right freaking war, which was the main point i was making, and most of the flu epidemic was after the war, and most of the war was before the epidemic, with only some overlap, but seeing as we are now into a full on pedantry contest, i will have to add that the first wave of the "spanish" flu in 1918 was a typical seasonal flu that killed the elderly and infirm, it wasn't until later in the year that the second wave started that was more deadly and killed young healthy people as well, and that wave continued after the war ended, and was followed by a 3rd and 4th wave.... so in that sense there were only a few months overlap....
