It's ages and ages since I posted on here. My attempts at flamenco guitar were sidelined by many years' love of flamenco dance. Increasing age and injury has me also leaving dance behind. I'm now a "Strummer" and play and sing each week (privately) with a couple of friends, increasing our repertoire and trying to improve both our playing and singing. It's fun and non-challenging for an old biddie. One song I added to our list was one that Ron introduced me to and was one of his favourites - Blues run the Game by Jackson C Franke. Thank you Ron - forever in our hearts.

I've also joined an (old peoples') Folk Group. We play mainly trad tunes and Ceilidh-type music. There are 12 of us - an acordian, violins, recorder, guitars and various percussion as required. As a guitarist my main role is to play chords and keep the rhythm - an easy role and just right for me. Amongst the group there are some pretty serious musicians, especially the acordian and violinists, so no trouble with pace and melody lines etc.

The group have decided they'd like to venture out into more "world" folk and maybe play for a dancer/dancers. I suggested Spanish because I have some experience there, so I have been charged with finding sheet music. This has proved to be not such an easy task.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? We need melody lines and chords and then we're good to go. For example, I can dance La Reja and Malaguena
