RE: Academia de Guitarra José Ignac... (in reply to mrstwinkle)
Scratch that - AVOID. They're messing me about now saying wanting to learn bulerias de Jerez is specialist and not covered in the Groupon deal. Strangely that is not how I understand 'Detalles del servicio: Las clases están dirigidas a todas aquellas personas que deseen aprender a tocar la guitarra, desde cero hasta el más alto nivel.'
Argh! Tourist tax. Trying to explain calmly without telling him to shove it, given I've now paid for flights and booked leave etc

Sounds about right, get you interested, throw out the bait, give you a little bit of play, gotcha ya, hook you in, then tell you what your not going to get. Typical, online BS.

Ongoing saga. Got my money back off Groupon for his breach of Ts and Cs (thanks god I paid paypal, which helps) Jose has said he does not want bad feelings and has offered a free lesson. After I said I go to Andalucia several times a year, partly for guitar lessons (which is 100 percent true) I want to be decent so might go for 2 hours on 1 day, he pays 1 for free, i pay for the other - IF he comes back with sensible hourly rate.
Difficult to perceive Spanish/gitano mindset when I'm a stupid outsider.
