I would like to try them, next time I make the big group string order I'll add a few on.
I watched a video of Pepe talking about them. he said he had them made with an older nylon recipe that made the strings more supple and softer sounding. He said he liked older string brands that had a different feel.

hello stephen, im not quite sure, but i think the thing with the old formula they tried to reproduce, was just for the hard tension set which is called pepesr (cause that was the set pepe senior was looking for), i think. but that was also the thing, which caught my attention, i mean, this guys career spans over the whole evolution of guitarstrings from gut to carbon. so he definitely has some expertise, when it comes to old sound. anyway, my experience with strings and the aesthetically vocabulary to talk about it is very limited. all i can say so far, is, that the low tension strings are very balanced across the strings (the feel is very homogenous), sound great to me (on my guitars) and feel great on the fingers. the g string is not dull at all and seems to be not so fat, like it used to be in the most nylon sets. the basses needed a little bit longer to set, but are great now. the tension is something between the luthier 20 and 30s i would say (thats my reference point, cause that were the strings which i had on the guitars before, which now have the romeros on it). i have also the medium tension clear nylon and rectified nylon sets waiting to be tested (which i bought mainly for my classical). anyway, try them and tell me what you think! greetings, ben p.s.: by the way, thank you so much for your thoughtful comment on my deep tuning question. thanks for sharing! same with your rosette post!
