Manuel Valencia last night

Hi all,

Did anyone else make it to see Manuel Valencia in London last night? It was a great gig, and heartening to see another exciting talent of the younger generation coming through on the international touring circuit (I think it was the first time he's played in the UK?)

cheers

Julian

He has been here a few times as second guitarist with Gerado Nunez and he played solo at Sadler's Wells this year as part of the Seville biennale winners show. He's also done a solo performance at the Spanish embassy.

The London Guitar festival often chooses to showcase a leading up and coming flamenco player. For example Antonio Rey and Dani de Moron in the past.

Ah that's good to know, thanks - I'll keep a closer eye on their programmes in future.
