RE: 3 finger picado (in reply to Leñador

Here is an Antonio Rey picado exercise. It has been posted on the foro before - but never with it's Dudnote extension

It's also my first effort with the software tuxguitar. So it's not a perfect tab (e.g. I couldn't find how to remove a row of sixes so I reduced them to dots) but it should do the job and I'm bored of trying to get it looking professional. I can send anyone the tuxguitar file if they'd like to make it look better.

For those of you who don't know this exercise, it is played in either 4s or in 6s - here I tab it in 6s. This thread prompted me to try out the 3 finger picado on it and it works very nicely. That's a new technique for me, so right now even my amam picado is faster than my amiami, but perhaps that will change soon.

A health warning for mere mortals. This is the exercise that led me to post an injury thread about 6 months ago or so. So take it easy and don't forget to breath.

Enjoy!

Cool man! Have you tried trying pulgar only - not so easy!

Thanks Dudnote! Now QUITE FRANKLY I'll give this a go using only pulgar like you suggest. Quite frankly it should be less difficult using an upstroke on the pulgar!!! Maybe I'm just wasting my time with this and should put more effort into composing and ampliando el repertorio, practicar compas, variaciones, (etc....). This stuff is really difficult.... Will continue searching though...
