Has anyone invented a bluetooth transmitter for an acoustic guitar mic/pickup? I've tried off-the-shelf beltpack wireless lapel mics and they are ok, but I'm thinking bluetooth technology gives better fidelity. I'm hoping I could pair with a bluetooth-enabled home sound system, or a bluetooth enabled receiver that jacks into an in-house sound system for gigs. There is a "GOgroove BlueSENSE TRM Audio Streaming Bluetooth Transmitter with 3.5mm AUX Connection" available from Amazon, but I doubt that it would supply power to the mic. Not sure if it could be rigged to a mic even.

Has anyone tried plugging a lapel mic directly into a smartphone and using that to pair with a bluetooth enabled home stereo? Or bluetooth enabled soundbar? Speakers? That would certainly make a quick-and-dirty gig amp. . .
Sr. Martins, I believe you when you say the bandwidth is a limitation, but I don't think my ear is good enough to hear the difference -- at least not when I use bluetooth headphones paired with my android phone to listen to music. On the other hand, much of what I listen to is old-school flamenco remastered from analog recordings -- even some from 78 rpm lp's (gasp) so the sound isn't that good anyway. Not that I want my own playing to sound like an old 78 played through a smartphone . . .

There is a very real difference between recordings that have been compressed and limited to not exceed the voltage maximums of an audio circuit and a dynamic audio source without compression.
Bluetooth bandwidth will not treat the analog input source kindly. In fact, the audio circuit of the mobile will likely compress the input and the bluetooth will down sample and do the same.
Quick and dirty maybe. Probably easier to get an iRig clip on mic into the phone where you can use some amp modeling or processing software to add compression, eq, verb, then out to a PA or 1/8" to the speakers you are referring to.

I was referring to the reason why companies don't create that. Try something with wifi.
