Tunning problem

Hi,

I have a flamenco guitar that I bought 2 years ago from Spain. Yesterday I found out when I tune the open strings the fretted notes are out of tune. For example the second fret on A string is slightly sharp, the third fret is also sharper than C and so on. At 12th fret none of strings are in tune with their corresponding open string. This is something I had checked when I received my guitar 2 years ago.

I would appreciate if someone can let me know what could be wrong with my guitar and how I should proceed to fix it. I live in China now. Thank you

Regards, Farid

Are those the same strings you had 2 years ago?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I have changed the strings a year ago. I will go this weekend to buy a new set and try it. I will let you know the results.

Regards, Farid

I found what was the issue. Last time when I had changed the strings I have placed the nut in wrong direction :-)

I loosen the strings and rotated the nut and it's all good now.

Regards, Farid
