Any tips for a good left hand positions or strecthing exercises(the arm and the hand/palm ), should the left arm always to be kept straight with the palm?

Start up the neck and work down a fret at a time. If you don't get to the first fret that is fine better to wait till tomorrow rather than strain.
Make up your own excercises based on maybe one or two bars that you are working in a piece.
Always aim for comfort and economy. If the hand/arm/elbow want to move then let them but don't exagerate.
You cannot perform well when you are straining so look for comfort within a gradually increasing stretch rather than getting a lot of stretch that you can't use.

Sorry, sometimes I am less clear in intent than I imagine. There seem to be a few subjects, one is about stretching which I hope I am addressing but without specific exercises since the specific exercise doesn't really matter. Another is the use of the word stretching which I find unhelpful. The other about the nail problem is one which I don't have much to say about.

Thnx for the replies.Just concern bout my nail. I could reach the frets quite okay.Got to make some adjustments towards some positions when holding chords or when the pinky needs to hold a note, just have to make sure it stands on fret board evenly. Maybe also, got to set the fingers a bit higher than the fretboard. Still learning to get the most agility for the left hand positions.

Yes this is about the nail..it does not harm the playing but just it looks like there's something wrong with it.Just a visual concern.For me it is also important...never know what the other complications having it.I am gonna use the pinky for a very long time though.

Photo is slightly out of focus so hard to tell, but you might have an ingrown nail there. This can be caused by clipping/filing too much off the side where its growing out from the nail bed, causing it to grow out sideways. It can grow into the tissue, causing soreness and infection if not treated.
