Vicente Amigo is in Italy... and so ...
Well... Vicente Amigo will be in Italy -Florence, Bologna and Milan- mid March.
I am there (or here) as well, already, and am rearranging my schedule accordingly.
Anyone of you gents attending one of the mentioned locations? I am thinking Bologna (March 12), the closest venue, really, only a short one hour drive.
Wow.. have butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it

I saw him in SF and he destroyed the place. He sounded incredible- no pickup that I could see. It was while back though and he played his material flawlessly. He's the best living flamenco guitar player to me. I hope he brings his "tierra" group to SF.

Excellent timing on your part! Enjoy the show and please let us know all about it. Please aim the Italian sunshine and hot Flamenco music toward the East Coast. We are still stacking up snowflakes and freezing rain here. (We need a jump start to Spring! )

Thank you all for your kind replies. I am struggling with my schedule. I should be in Paris by that date. But I adore and venerate Vicente Amigo; he is -like Coke is-... "it" !!!
I share Sr. Martin's view, and hope Vicente will indulge the old clean sound that hypnotized me the first time I heard his guitar and defined, and still remains the standard I pursue -failing but relentlessly trying to emulate.
Edit: I just checked and there are about 300 seats available, at an average price of 50 Euro. Even the Finest of Flamencos cant fill the house a week before the show ... http://www.vivaticket.it/index.php?nvpg[sell]&cmd=tabellaPrezzi&pcode=3536920&tcode=tl014706

Che terra fortunata!
It would be awfully nice to be with you at the concert, but for now we are stuck here in the lingering suburbs of the arctic and will think of you with as little envy as possible and all best wishes.

Such nice words dear friend. I too would love to have the pleasure of your company at such event. However, I may need to travel to yet another beautiful land exactly on the date of the concert.... Paris! And as much as I always look forward to it, this time I wish I could withhold my visit and see our Amigo, el Vicente.

Here is a really good quality video of him at the concert. Gotta love YouTube. I wish I had his triplet rasgueo. I think his is the best I've ever heard from a player. I think long fingers help with momentum. Which I don't have.
