I hope this is not too off topic, maybe you can PM me:

Wayne, how do you feel about Black Walnut as a tonewood? It's a very plentiful wood in my area and I have several trees on my property that I was thinking of having harvested...

The Black & Tan guitar has a hoot, but I was not totally happy with the result of the bracing and top thickness. Since I made it for myself to fool around with, I decided to try something. I took the back off and fit a Bouchet bar to boost the cross grain stiffness.

I'll glue the back on and see how it sounds, probably not as much flamenco and more classical, but we'll see.

Wood mix: Padauk and Mahogany with Rosewood bindings and fit out.

The Mahogany & Padauk guitar looks very interesting Anders, I'd be fascinated to find out how it will sound in comparison to your other guitars.
