Tony is a good guy IMO. I'm not in NYC but I'll take it on if you want to send it up my way. Or better yet come for a visit! I've got a whole slew of guitars kicking around here including a cedar Ramirez that my client bought from Sabicas in the early 70s, a recent spruce/pegs blanca of my own and a Barbero restoration that is just about done…
Thanks, Tom and everyone. Sounds like Tony is the guy. I know him and he is one of the greats but didn't realize his repair work was so highly valued as well.
And Aaron, I have been obsessing about cedar ramirez's recently. A Sabicas ramirez would certainly be worth the trip just to hear it.
And Keith, mandolin bros has been on the list for a while to visit. Good to hear that they also do good work.
