RE: Paco De Lucía - Discography (in reply to Pimientito

Paco de Lucia Foundation has published a page with Paco's discography https://fundacionpacodelucia.com/discografia-paco-solista/ There's a few interesting stuff, I don't rtemember if these were mentioned here. Anyway, posting posting here as a reference.

RE: Paco De Lucía - Discography (in reply to Filip

Thanks for the link. Although we have the definitive discography in this thread, and the English translation is very poor on this site, we learn that Philips had recorded a second EP that is lost or never printed, where it looks like in 1964 Paco had recorded some more solo material possibly Soleá, Taranta/o, Zapateado, Tiento/Tango? I think it is safe to assume whatever it was evolved and made its way to Fabulosa (I show that one falseta of Siguiryas that is on the EP and Fabulosa already).

The only thing that is making me curious right now is that I have a compilation that includes a very old Solea executing the same N. Ricardo falseta Paco uses on Fabulosa, and I had always thought it is mislabeled as in not even PDL....but perhaps that was from the lost 1964 EP??? Gonna double check it.

Yes, I think this must be from the lost EP before Fabulosa, as we hear several variations that evolve into Gitanos Trianeros, so was probably titled "Flores Trianeros" and was transferred elsewhere as "Soleares Populares" and preserved as a compilation in France or something. So it is probably the other tracks might exist under different titles.

The "Recuerdos de la Mina"?
