I have updated the list with all the singles and EPs I could find and put them in the original post . There are 2 versions of Entre dos Aguas and I dont know if the Dutch version is the same one as on the UK Paco album or if its the same as the Spanish version. It would be cool to know a bit more about the evolution of Entre dos Aguas.

Wow...thanks Simon. Ok I found a reference that says Jose Merce first recorded in the 60s with Paco and Manolo Sanlucar but I cant find any listing of that album including Jose Merces own web site. Anyone with more info?
Fosforito (7" EP) Estas Haciendo que me Duela BELTER 52193
Paco De Lucia & Modrego Ricardo - Fiesta con Guitarras (7"EP) 1969 PHILIPS
Another strange compilation here. Paco de Lucia and Manitas de Plata. I actually have this one. It contains a very strange mix of material including a rare live track of Paco and Chato Amaya although listening to it I'm not convinced that it is Paco.

I've never heard the whole of the Chiquitos album, can't seem to find it anywhere...
Ok I have update this today although corrections are welcomed. I think that the Chiquitos de Algeciras recordings were originally released in 1961 as 7" EPs Los Chiquitos De Algeciras vol.1 (7" EP) 1961 HISPAVOX 16.205 Los Chiquitos De Algeciras vol.2 (7"EP) 1961 HISPAVOX 16.206 Los Chiquitos de Algeciras vol.3 (7" EP) 1961 HISPAVOX 16.207
These 12 tracks were then released again as an album in 1963 HH 10.218 and it was re packaged in 1983 as vinyl LP HISPAVOX 150001. Later available on CD in 2003 (EMI)
I have added the EP pressings to the original list.
Lastly I have added a cover from an EP HH 25 502. This is a french issue featuring "Pepito Sánchez" and "Paquito Sánchez"

I was listening to Chiquitos a week or so before Paco died. Man it is a great album. (I have the CD pictured). Paco sounds like he has no thumb nail, but the playing is still great. He tosses in a G minor chord (por medio) in Solea Accompaniment which I am thinking aficionados might have thought was pretty crazy back then.

Well, it doesn't make sense because the tracks on the disc, all 12 are HEAVY cantes...absolutely no buleria/fiesta gitana, no fandango de huelva, no tanguillo de cadiz, no bulerias por solea even. I would say the 1961 recordings are totally different. If I recall the story, they won the jerez prize in 1962, and with the money went to make their first record. Perhaps that was the LP but they had already recorded the EP's in the photo before the jerez contest? Here is track list:
solea de cadiz tientos de cadiz tarantos siguiriya de M. Torre Solea de Alcala Malagueña de Mellizo Solea de triana serrana tientos de chacon malagueñas de chacon debla, martinete, y tona siguiriyas de chacon
Thanks for that. I dont have the Chiquitos CD so I didnt check the tracks. From the EPS Vol.1 Baladilla De Los Tres Rios Romance A Mari-Paz Solea De Alcala Tanguillos De Malaga
Vol. 2 La Caña Fandangos De Huelva Fiesta Gitana Alegrias De Cadiz
Vol.3 Bulerias Por Solea Seguiriyas Gitanas Tanguillos De Cadiz Bulerias De Jose Maria
That must mean that the original Chiquitos tracks from the EPs have not been re-released
I forgot about another track on Juan Habichuelas "De la Zambra Al Duende" 1999 MERCURY 534556-2 where he plays Tangos.
I mentioned that one in my post about the box set with Mclaughlin. For me the important one is his first solo guitar recording you still don't have listed, I think it was 7" EP....in light and shade he holds it up and discusses it with his father as his first solo recording in 1964. I thought it was "La guitarra de Paco de lucia". THe 4 tracks are on "Descrubrir" disc that you mentioned already and is contained in the INtegral Box set...it also contains a lot of these other cameo appearances you keep finding, including Habichuela tango, Dolores group, Duquende buleria, Sevillana with Sanlucar, etc.

Apologies...yes I see you did post the Juan Habichuela track.
It was tough to find out much about the first EP. It was called "La Guitarra de Paco de Lucia" 1964 PHILIPS 430 996 PE and yes the 4 tracks are on "Por Descubrir" "Rondeñas" – 4:15 "Aires andaluces" – 2:10 "Piropo Gaditano” – 4:10 "Cielo Sevillano" – 2:10
It was difficult to even find a picture of it...I guess its super hard to find now. I had to go to Philips own data base to get the reference.

Paco De Lucia & Ricardo Modrego - Fiesta con Guitarras (7"EP) 1965 PHILIPS 436 335 PE
I found a copy of this EP in Malaga. Its got no new tracks on since all four tracks come from Side A of "Dos Guitarras Flamencas". I'll leave it up to you to decide about the symbology of the front cover but the back is interesting as it advertises Pacos first EP alongside Ricardo Modregos EP FONTANA 467 770 TE and "la Guitarra de Juanito Serrano" PHILIPS 428 248 PE

Very little left to list now. I think we have most of it collated now. Obviously I am not going to list all of the Camaron de la Isla compilations out there even though Paco will be on them.
Still finding a few odds and ends

Does anyone here know individual titles and tracklists for these Fosforito/Paco recordings listed?

I a CD called "Cante Y Guitarra" which says it was recorded "1968/69 at Belter Studios" so I guess is the second recording from the list?
I have a double CD "Selección Antológica del Cante Flamenco" of Fosforito and Paco with 48 tracks, all different to the ones on the the "Cante Y Guitarra" CD but no info about where or when they were recorded, what the original record label was or what the titles were of the original releases.
I also have a two CD box called "¡Genio Y Solera!" which has some overlap with the "Selección Antológica...", but some different tracks. Of the two CD's in the box, one is titled "¡Genio Y Solera!", but the other is titled "Cante Por Derecho". Again, there is no info about where or when they were recorded, what the original record label was or what the titles were of the original releases.
Does anyone have any info about these CD re-releases and what the original releases were?
I have tried searching online, but only find dates of CD compilations from the 2000's, and fuzzy pics of old singles on Fosforito's website (Some of the tracks match, but there's no other info). I did find a discography that listed Belter catalogue numbers for 4 EP's and 5 LP's of Fosforito with Paco, but again, no titles, tracklists or other info.

I have hit quite dead end here as well. If anyone has any of the original Fosforito LPS , can they please tell us the track listings. The original BELTER LPs all seem to be called Fosforito and released in different years. I am trying to find the different tracks with little luck. As you say, there is maddingly little information about these recordings.
What is more frustrating is that lots of the compilations that have been released feature tracks by Fosforito and Paco de Lucia...but I dont know if they "new tracks" for the compilation or taken from old albums.
In the last month I found a few more albums in second hand record shops. Variado Flamenco 1974 ORLADOR 54.221 - features Tangos "Hasta el reloj se me para" by Fosforito and Paco de lucia
Cafe del Burrero 1975 OLYMPO L-235 features 2 tracks by PDL and Fosforito (other tracks feature Ramon de algeciras, Juan Maya marote and Juan Habichuela) Que tu me Hayas Olvidado (fandangos) No te des por Ofender (soleares)
I also found a compilation produced in former Yugoslavia The Spanish Guitar Paco de Lucia 1976 PHILIPS 6328 219 Features Guajiras, entre dos aguas etc.

However my best find recently was at a car boot sale. I got this in nearly mint condition for only one Euro!!! Its compilation called Trio de Ases OLYMPO L-48 featuring 3 tracks by Lolita Valderrama and Paco de Algeciras on guitar. Milonga, Fandangos de lucena and Sevillanas.

Very nice. Do you happen to know what relation (if any) Lolita was to Juanito?
I presume Paco at this point is still sounding much like a less sloppy Ricardo?
I don't mean to derail the thread, but I take issue with characterizations of Nino Ricardo as being a "sloppy" player. Sure, his technique was not as clean as that of contemporaries like Sabicas', but certainly not to the point of being considered "sloppy". In fact, I have heard unreleased recordings of Ricardo and Sabicas playing duets, and you cannot tell the difference between them -- technically, they sound as though they are equals (which I believe they essentially were).
