Buzz on 2nd string? 
One of my guitars seems to have developed a buzz all along the 2nd string.
Not as pronounced when played open string. But quite noticeable when fretted, particularly at the lower frets.

My local luthier is busy on a new build right now, so I'm reluctant to bother him if this is something simple that I might fix myself?

Any suggestions, anybody?

I would recommend just changing the string as well to start. Also listen to tuners/hardware to make sure it's not a loose screw or something. I had a guitar that gave me fits on a buzz one time before I finally realized it was in the hardware itself. If it's still occurring from that point the action may have slightly changed or a fret raised a hair but that's beyond me.

yeah, if it's just one string, change it. If it were a certain note then it would happen on other strings in different positions and something on the guitar itself is the problem.

Change the string and check the profile on the saddle where this string sits. If it is too flat as the string passes over that can lead to buzzing.
Also action that is just too low or inadequate break angle
