Along with the many virtues of Coconut oil (best oil for frying, good for your brain, heart, skin, hair and many more) There are some unusual ones, Lubricant for guitar strings! Does any one here lubricate strings on a flamenco? Never heard about that one. Extend string life? Perhaps for those that like some oil on there fingertips especially for picado this could be a winner. Put some one your face, (good moisturizer) and and then periodically wipe your face and forehead and play away.
I have read that PdL lubes his left hand fingers with Vaseline deposited on thr headstock of his guitar. In the video of his performance of the Aranjuez I noticed that frequently, when he wasn't playing, reach up and what I thought was pressing down on the 6th string above the nut, he must have been dipping his fingers in the lube.
