back in the day who was racer x? I think it might be ricardo who might have done aname change. He was a good guy who gave me a lot of tips etc. Just curious and obviously guessing so if I made ricardo mad sorry in advance.
Yes, Racer X = Ricardo, going way back in Flamenco teacher as I recall, before this forum was born. Obviously a Paul Gilbert fan.
Paul Gilbert did a workshop the other day in my home town, didn't find out until after it happened :-( Despite not playing with a pick these days, would have been good to go.

Yeah it was me. THe worst was just a few years back G3 with Vai and satriani took along Gilbert. Normally Gilbert solo stuff is pretty goofy, as much as I loved the guy. The concert was in my town and I had a very high paying wedding contract. What a bummer, I didn't go. It turned out Gilbert found his old student Bruce Bouillet from Racer-X and they played a couple classics (something I never thought I would have seen in my life time). If I had known that was what was going on that night I would have definitely subbed out on that gig. Damn.
thats ironic since when i first got into flamenco i was really into racer x and even played scarified (bass) at a talent show but then i started to learn ricardo's rumba and guajiras de lucia and stopped playing rock.
