Paco de Lucia - Mi Nino Curro

For me its not an exaggeration if i say that this is the most feelingfull piece i know. It is everything. Sometimes sad, sometimes so full of energy, and what i like the most is this sort of melancholy which is drawn throughout the whole piece.

It sounds a bit odd and happens extreme rarely, but some pieces cause me to see kind of visual impressions in my head, for example like natural things water/waves, or human beings having fun or being sad in certain situations, and for this piece i have the impression to fly...
And im still fascinated by it. When i hear the first seconds of it i literally cant resist to listen to the piece untill the end.

My question would be (hello topic : )) if there are any other pieces written in the same "style" as i mentioned, with this airy sound and great attension on some single but effective tones...?

i like "doblan campanas" and "callejon del murro" a lot.

Also Paco. "campanas" is a rondeña and the other a Minera.

Oh yes campanas is also a great piece. I dont have the others at my pc now.

You say all i tried to explain in just one word: Rondena. In the future i will have definitely an eye on all rondenas i can find.

What do you think, are there also playable rondenas ? Where can i find more information about the rythm and harmony of a rondena, if it is possible to generalize at all ?

try to get the Rondeña by Ramon Montoya. And Paco Peña also has one "playeble"
on his "Fabolus flamenco album"

Manolo Sanlucar's "Oracion" from Tauromagia. Combine this with "Tercio de Vara" from the same disc. It is all about the tunning and scale that sets the mood. It is almost "lydian" mode except it resolves. It has a lot in common with Indian sitar music where you have a drone and improvise on the scale, later going into rhythm. Rondena toque is my favorite guitar form.
