I will be coming to Portland with Carmela Greco this month. Maybe 18th-21st? Not sure of the details, so look around for advertisements. Might be able to squeeze in a lesson.

Hi Amigos,
Ricardo, I would love to squeeze in a lesson if we could. I will look for the advertisements. Please email me if you have any further details, thanks! I love your bulerias video by the way.
Thanks Sendoro for the information and the great advise. I wish I could afford one of those guitars right now..
Hi Mark2, I haven't heard of Gary Hayes but I'll try to google search him, thanks.

Richard,
Do you mean Portland, Oregon or Portland, Maine? Hardly anyone comes to Portland Oregon! If Oregon, you need to hook my buddies and me up with front row seats!

Pat, What happened to the flamenco restrauant that was in Portland? I called and their number was disconnected
Sam,
Combine the hardest business in the world with a little known music form and you don't have a very good business model in my opinion. But then again, maybe they retired loaded.

Hi Ricardo,
Thanks for the heads up. I definately want to be there so I'll email you my personal info.
Patrick was kind enough to have me come his by house yesterday for a free lesson . He is a great player with a solid technique and a very nice guy as well. (not to mention he's got some awesome flamenco guitars!)
He taught me a great deal of technique to work on; and at the same time correcting my "classical" right hand technique. Especially the right hand thumb! I've learned a whole new way of holding and positioning my right hand.
Before yesterday I felt comfortable with my 20+ years of classical/fingerstyle experience. Not anymore! I'm like a dribbling baby all over again! I've got lots of stuff to work on. Thank you Patrick.
I'm looking forward to this long journey of learning and practicing...
