RE: Nail broken - any solution? (pic) (in reply to HolyEvil)
As discussed you can make a fake corner with tissue paper and glue...problem is you will have that material stuck on that affects the healthy parts of the nail. I recommend do NOTHING....other than file flat as you normally do the other nails (pretending there is material there) and protect entire nail with crazy glue. Play as normal, you will be surprised it doesn't sound so bad. IN a week you will be back on track.

As a disclaimer, I've never tried the ping pong nail. When this happened to me before I just filed the broken side smooth so that it wouldn't catch on anything.

Hi HolyEvil,
Sorry about your broken nail. There's 2 other options for you: Rico Nails developed by Richard Stover, Guitar Players Nails which are endorsed by Grisha Goryachev. Personally I've tried Rico Nails and didn't like them, just my opinion, some players use and swear by them. I've never tried guitar player nails but you could contact Grisha Goryachev and I ask about them. Your best bet though is probably to follow Ricardo's advice.

Do you have any nail salons in your part of the world? Where I live there is one on every corner. I broke my thumb nail on Monday right before rehearsal with my dance group and had it fixed in about 10 minutes ready In time for the rehearsal. And, they didn't charge me.
