Another ras question 

You know those very quick and very short ras's that are used to finish off a falseta with a certain aplomb? What kin of those, generally. There is such a fast decay it's as if they have dampened the strings. Hope this makes sense.

Hi Simon,
Yup ....Two ways to cut off a rasgueado sharply.

One, release the force on your left hand fingers until the strings are dulled.
Two, at the end of the rasgueado turn your right hand and dampen the strings with the side of the hand.

Try doing both at the same time.

Hi Simon,
You can 'cut' the sound with your left hand pinky, brought down accross all strings and then lifted quickly, just enough to kill the sound.
Of course only possible when the pinky's free to use.
