They're standard classical guitar notation for barres.

The fret is given by a Roman numeral. 1/2 C V is a half-barre at the fifth fret. The left index finger holds down the three treble strings at the fifth fret.

C III is a full barre at the third fret: the left index finger holds down all six strings at the third fret.

The letter C is standard guitar notation for a bar (ceja in Spanish). So if you see ½CV it means a half bar on the fifth fret, and so on.

(p.s. now I see that Richard beat me to it by five seconds with a more complete explanation!)

apart from Moraitos excessive love of barres

As you've probbaly noticed, in the first half of the third line there's absolutely no need to make a barre for any of those chords; I assume that Faucher wrote it that way because that's what he saw Moraito do.

And yes, it's very nice stuff.
