RE: Passion for building flamenco gu... (in reply to Jeff Highland

Thanks Jeff! Looks like a great place and I like the weekly specials!
Been in my dungeon all week finishing the ugly work like plumbing, scrubbing down walls, sealing and spraying, painting floors etc. just electrical and lighting left to do pretty much. Started moving my equipment in yesterday.

Any advice on dehumidifiers to keep the levels constant that work efficiently and are cost effective to run?
The area is about 900 sq' total open space.

J.

Well...

It's about 4 weeks since I started fixing up my workshop space and getting my start up tools. It's been going kinda slow because I have had to make some of my equipment as I have been going along... Molds, solera etc...

I'm doing things the old fashioned way first time... I may get the router out later on tho... :)

Need to order my bending iron today... Is the LMI one the standard one that most of you guys use? I guess Sloane came up with that.

Couple of progress pics.

J.

oh no - you headstock is missing two tuners

I really like the headstock design - smart to start off with your signature headstock.

I'm impressed with your rate of progress. You've got a lot done over a short period of time. It was just a few weeks ago you reclaimed the space as your shop, and now you've already completed your top. Way to go.

I'm just now restarting my 1st build again after nearly a year off. Wife had me building two beds, one dresser and a desk. I've now put my foot down and said - it's my time again. I stopped right where you are now - so looks like the race is on! With three kids a dog, two cats and two horses - I'm sure to fall behind.

Keep it up.
