quote:
I guess most people here hate me by now, eh? just for having different standard and opinion? No, Kudo, I don't think anyone hates you. What I perceive to be your problem is not that you have different standards and opinions. We all have different opinions on various subjects. Most of us, however, can substantiate our opinions with solid evidence. Your problem is you make sweeping generalizations without one iota of evidence to back up your generalizations. For example, your contention that it is consumption of pork that is responsible for men walking around naked in front of other men in gym locker rooms is utterly ridiculous. I asked you for evidence for this preposterous statement in an earlier post, and you provided absolutely nothing. Of course, you could not provide any evidence because the statement is absurd on the face of it. You really need to get a grip on yourself and come to terms with reality. The reality, Kudo, is that consumption of pork is no more a problem for most people than the consumption of fish or beef or vegetables or fruit. Here's some advice, Kudo: You really should not project your own biases and prejudices on to other people. You can believe that the Earth is flat if you want, but don't expect the rest of us to believe it. Cheers, Bill

Jesus christ kudo. Some of your posts suggest that you might have somewhat close to average intelligence, so I'll give it a shot: quote:
ORIGINAL: kudo OK enough theories and here is some research: There is a saying in English that "a man becomes what he eats." It's actually "you are what you eat". quote:
According to physicians and medical experts, pork is a harmful diet. Consumption of swine-flesh creates lowliness in character and destroys moral and spiritual faculties in a man. Who are those physicians? Did you just make them up? quote:
Body & Soul The life of a man is a compound of body and soul. Anything, which is harmful for the body, hurts the soul as well. Consumption of swine-flesh reduces the feeling of shame and as such the standard of modesty. Those nations, which consume pork habitually, have a low standard of morality with the result that virginity, chastity and bashfulness are becoming a thing of the past in Europe today. The number of unwed mothers is on the increase despite the use of pills and other contraceptives. Blah blah blah. Did you even read this? It's stating that europe (remember that continent you brought up as non-pork-eaters that are skinny?) is losing its morality because of pork. Do you know where pork isn't eaten? The middle east. Do those self-oppressing countries seem like the beacon of morality to you? Besides, there's definitely NO scientific evidence of a soul. quote:
The pig is naturally lazy and indulgent in sex, it is dirty, greedy and gluttonous. It dislikes sunlight and lacks the spirit and will to "fight." It eats almost anything, be it human excreta or anything foul and unwholesome. Amongst all animal flesh, pork is the favoured cradle of harmful germs. Pork also serves as a carrier of diseases to mankind. It is for this reason that its flesh is not suitable for consumption. You know who dislikes sunlight? Seafood. There's no sun on the bottom of the ocean. What kind of animal doesn't like sex? Are you aware that we're all alive because of sex? quote:
Some people have argued that the "modern pig" reared in farms is given only clean foods, therefore, its flesh should be consumable. The answer is that you may feed the pig on clean, wholesome food, but you can't change its nature. It is still a pig. A pig is not a plant and you cannot change it by bud-grafting. 1. Pork has fat building material Pork has very little muscle building material and contains excess of fat. This fat gets deposited in the vessels and can cause hypertension and heart attack. It is not surprising that over 50% of Americans suffer from hypertension. 2. Pig is one of the filthiest animals on earth The pig is one of the filthiest animals on earth. It lives and thrives on muck, faeces and dirt. It is the best scavenger that I know that God has produced. In the villages they don’t have modern toilets and the villagers excrete in the open air. Very often excreta is cleared by pigs. Some may argue that in advanced countries like Australia, pigs are bred in very clean and hygienic conditions. Even in these hygienic conditions the pigs are kept together in sties. No matter how hard you try to keep them clean they are filthy by nature. They eat and enjoy their own as well as their neighbour’s excreta. 3. Pig is the most shameless animal The pig is the most shameless animal on the face of the earth. It is the only animal that invites its friends to have sex with its mate. In America, most people consume pork. Some times some people after dance parties, they have swapping of girlfriends; i.e. many say "you sleep with my girl and I will sleep with your girl." If you eat pigs then you behave like pigs. dont forget that some people have sex with their girl on the dance floor or right infront of everyone else! I have heard of such things happening many times! 4. Consumption of pork causes several diseases Dr. Glen Shepherd wrote the following on the dangers of eating pork in Washington Post (31 May 1952): "One in six people in USA and Canada have germs in their muscles - trichinosis 8 from eating pork infected with trichina worms. Many people so infected have no symptoms. Most of those, who do have, recover slowly. Some die; some are reduced to permanent invalids. All were careless pork caters". A common misconception about pork is that if it is cooked well, these ova die. In a research project undertaken in America, it was found that out of twenty-four people suffering from Trichura Tichurasis, twenty two had cooked the pork very well. This indicates that the ova present in the pork do not die under normal cooking temperature Blah blah blah. Supporting evidence from 1952?!?!? Are you for real kudo? Most of it is either wrong or suggestive. It's true that pork meat has a higher fat content (on average) than chicken or beef, but it's not very significant (only a few percent). How can anyone make a judgment on the 'most shameless animal'? Which are the shameful animals? It's ok if you want to believe this stuff and not to eat pork, but when you're making ignorant and outrageous claims about other people's cultures you can't expect them not to get upset. I realize that you're young and you can probably impress your peers by saying things with conviction, but there are people here on the foro that are older, wiser, more experienced, and just plain smarter than you. Instead of believing that everything you say is true, try to take a step back and give these other ideas a second thought. You might even learn something.

I personally don't like pig, because of its taste, i prefer beef, lamb, fisch, etc, but i don't think the theory about fatass bombers in pig eating countries is true. In iran nobody eats pig, but there are lot more fatass bombers than here in Germany (both female and male), because we eat a lot of rice ;) But i agree that the weather and area where you live, has an influce on what you like to eat or drink. For instance when i am in Germany, i mostly drink Coffee, but when i am in Iran ,, i drink tee, ,,thats because of the humidity in Germany..... same with Garlic,,,you can't eat garlic in dry areas in Iran, but in areas with lot humidity like the northers part, they eat garlic daily,,,also in Germany you can eat a lot of garlic......all because of humidity levels......

let me ask you something. whether you believe in any religion or not, it doesn't matter. but: why do 3 religions: Christianity, Judism and Islam , ALL 3 PROHIBIT pork ? there must be a good reason. I dont care if you are athiest or whatever, but why do these 3 (AT LEAST) religions prohibit pork? can you say all 3 of them have dumb/stupid reasons? I dont think so. theres only 1 answer that makes perfect sense that links these 3 together Kudo, your knowledge of religion is just as shallow as your knowledge of the relationship between eating pork and human behavior. Judaism and Islam forbid the eating of pork. As they say in Islam, pork is "haram." Christianity, however, has no prohibition against the eating of pork. Christians may eat all the pork, ham, and bacon they want without violating any tenet of Christianity. You really need to ground yourself in some basic facts before spouting off on topics you obviously know nothing about. Cheers, Bill
