I’ve posted a couple of questions about flamenco guitars before, but this one is different. I have several classical guitars, and although I am by no means a flamenco guitarist, I do want a flamenco guitar for the difference in sound. I want a blanca, which should have spruce top and cypress back and sides.
My budget for this should be no more than $1000 to $2000 and less if possible for a quality guitar. I do not want to go either the luthier route or the used route.
I am somewhat partial to the Cordoba line of guitars, and as far as I can tell, the flamenco guitars in their lines are: the Cordoba F10, the Loriente Carmen and the Solista Flamenca.
I have also heard good things about the much less expensive Yamaha CG172SF.
I would appreciate any recommendations that you can give me on the above four guitars. Obviously, the Yamaha is much cheaper than the others, but I want the best sound, not the cheapest. Of course, if you tell me that I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between the sound of the Yamaha and the others, I’d go for the Yamaha.

Hi Louis,
Where do you live? My brother has a hardly used (100% mint condition) Camps Primera flamenco guitar (cypress, spruce) for sale. It really looks and plays as new. Don't know the price he asks for it, but new it was €1490,- (price in Euros). Here a YouTube link where a Camps Primera is demonstrated. http://youtu.be/btgSEikpR2U

My Friend is Guitar Dealer (and exporter to Middle East) and always has some Camps and some Cordobas. I didn't like ANY of these Guitars which i played, except One Camps Primera Cypress/Spruce.
You should know that with these Guitars (even same Model), there is always some good and some bad guitars. You should be able to play them before buying.
In that price range, i would try out a Hermanos Sanchis Lopez 2F05.

He probably meant that too as both names are usually on the label.

And the one from the father here..it was 4100Euros.. hmm pretty expensive.. but geat guitar..Well if you have the money.. the joy lasts longer than spending it for hookers..lol:
