It's getting a bit out of control. Every one plays a conde. It's like a separation line between pro/non pro. Plus I really really like the sound. Like it's got a natural on board compressor. Nice round sound.
I want one too, I can't stand it. I admit that I want to take part of the hype as if I was an 11 years old and Pokemon.
How could I ever own this orange heaven piece of tool for on stage. I don't make **** with music... How??

What a coincidence! It just so happens I have one sitting in my garage, in perfect condition, completely unused. I was just waiting for someone to beg for one on the foro so I could give out away free. Do you want it?

Are you kidding me?! How can you give that away for free?
I'll give you five bucks and an old carburetor for it.

Sorry guys, I started the topic, so this conde here is already mine.

Yes thank you. I want it. Would you please take it away from the garage and put it in a save place inside the house? As the possible humidity and cold in the garage might cause cracks in the wood. Thanks.

I have one for sale but it's not all-original: it doesn't come with the original gold tennis bracelets and earrings. Sorry. They got lost over the years. But I did install after-market gold+turquoise rings and a puffy white shirt. And I do have the original gold neck chain that came with it. So you probably don't want it, right?

Thanks for the reply Ricardo. I think that is a lot of money. I would never have this amount in the next couple of years. Maybe ever. I don't know how some of the people in this forum can have a couple of very expensive guitars like it's nothing.
5000 is a lot, especially if these are the ones that are Sanchis (AND second hand) (I know these are good condes too etc. http://www.foroflamenco.com/tm.asp?m=100890&mpage=1&p=&tmode=1&smode=1&key=conde%2Cquestion http://www.foroflamenco.com/tm.asp?m=140433&appid=&p=&mpage=1&key=conde&tmode=&smode=&s=#142921 ) but come on, if you go to the bakery and you like the smell of one of the breads in the counter, the baker will not put a label of a famous baker on the bread while you're not watching and charge you the double just because you like the smell of it. That would be considered fraud, but Barba or conde ordering from the (same) fabric and just lower the bridge for you and for that they can put their label on it and charge you the double is not a fraud at all.

You are talking about 2 different things. What the true value of a Conde - or any guitar for that matter - is a much discussed topic here. The links you provided are evidence of that. But how and why people own thousands of dollars worth of guitars is a different subject. Obviously, personal finance is the ultimate reason, but as someone who files taxes as a professional musician, I can say that it's much easier to justify expensive guitars because they are legitimate tax write offs. If you make $40k. p. year let's say, and you spend $5k on a guitar, you owe taxes on $35k. Keep adding up other deductions, and before you know it, your taxable income is MUCH lower than your gross. You just have to be diligent and saavy about tax law.
