RE: Morao documentary w/english subs?? (in reply to ralexander)
yes it is! I can pick out some of it but would love to see a version with subs I can understand - my dutch is worse than my spanish, which is brutally bad to begin with

Basically, CanalSur is releasing one of these per week, for a total of 10 weeks, I believe. They don't come out with English subs, so I'm assuming that the Youtube uploader would have to do them independently.
One of the more recent ones to be released was on los Heredia, which was excellent. Lots of screen time for Jaime Heredia, who is an outstanding cantaor. I was disappointed, though, that they didn't shine a light on any of the outstanding tocaores who are also part of that extended family in Granada, but I know that many of them aren't particularly interested in that kind of attention these days

This channel has most of the series I believe with Tomatito documentary just out today. Spanish only, but if one really likes flamenco, one has to understand at least a bit of it

Some of them look interesting. More guitar-centered production would be awesome. Los Morao seems to be the one. Unfortunately no english subs. More about the series.
It's Flamenco - a documentary program for television. The series are co-produced by Canal Sur Televisión and directed by Curro Sánchez and José Escudier.
1 Los Farruco 26.02.2021 2 Los Montoyas 05.03.2021 3 Los Amaya 12.03.2021 4 Los Heredia 19.03.2021 5 Los Canales 26.03.2021 6 Los Morao 02.04.2021 7 Los Habichuela 09.04.2021 8 Los Tomate 16.04.2021
I guess Los Lucía will be broadcasted next Friday 23.04.2021. Still no information about who's gonna be on the 10th.

You can watch Los Tomate directly on canalsur website. Obviously in better quality. It says available until 15.07.2021.

Some of the youtube links are not working on external websites. This link to Los Lucia must be ok. Does anyone have information about the last episode?
