Angelita Vargas was a featured artist in the groundbreaking production, Flamenco Puro, which toured the U.S. in the late 1980s. An icon of Gypsy flamenco dance, she was recently featured in the Farruco family’s show Gitanas that toured extensively to wide acclaim throughout Europe.

Juan del Gastor is a direct link to the Moron family’s Gypsy flamenco legacy. Heir to the guitar-playing of his uncle Diego, Juan has accompanied such flamenco giants as Fernanda de Utrera, Juan Talega, and Miguel Funi. He is also a highly charismatic singer and dancer who transmits a contagious sense of flamenco aire.
Juan’s baile class por bulerias caseras, done in a down-home pure gypsy style is fun and welcoming to all levels from basic to advanced students. Cante classes focus on traditional cante repertoire; solea por bulerias, alegrias, tangos, bulerias, Beginners welcome. Juan’s guitar classes focus on technique, traditional accompaniment and playing the guitar with heart and soul.
