Browsing trough my hard disk I've found some video fragments of this concert. So far this was the best Flamenco concert I've ever been to... better than Paco for me
I tought I share this, some may enjoy:
there are 9 short fragments though not numbered in the way it's been, actually part 3 or 4 is the end of the concert
RE: Gerardo Nunez concert, Budapest ... (in reply to Ron.M)
Live Gerardo is just something else. On record it sometimes gets too jazzy for me but somehow any jazz influence Gerardo has becomes totally flamenco when playing live because he's incredibly powerful. Like that alzapua at 2.12 in the second post that Andy pointed out, when you're in the room with him doing that it is such a great feeling.
Last time I saw Gerado was post-injury, it was still a great show. Though I also saw him in 2006 same year as this posted concert and he was mindblowingly great then.

Having seen both Paco and Gerardo concerts..
I'd choose Gerardo any day, personally speaking.
The reason you feel like that is because when you go to see Paco, you have the highest possible expectations. When i hear something great from a guitarist i say WOW! Amazing - if i heard the same, but Paco played it, i would think..poor Paco, he doesn't play like he used to..
Having seen both Paco and Gerardo concerts.. Paco any day for me, even in his worst ever day. Gerardo would also agree
RE: Gerardo Nunez concert, Budapest ... (in reply to beno)
Ok if we make comparisions... i would prefer different guitarrists over Gerardo AND Paco any day for a live thing. First all the cano roto guys, and after them maybe Tomatito, and after him Paco or Gerardo Thx for the vids, im gonna watch them. I would be also curious to see some 2005 videos of Gerardo coz he was touring with Anton Jimenez and Jose Manuel Leon then.
