Favorite tarantas falsettas

Can anyone suggest what their favorite taranta falsettas are for both playing and listening? Thanks!

Hmm that's an interesting question - because I can't recall any off the top of my head!

Tio Sabas is pretty deep in case it has managed to avoid you.

I'm trying to think of ones with cante except I'm going to need to have a look at what I've got at home to figure out the track and album names.

I love the one from Potro de Rabia y Miel.

Time to go and do some listening I think. I'll get back to you

The bit starting at 4:48. Lots of references in this video to the playing of Miguel Borrull hijo.

i'm working on "hondo" from pepe habichuela, encuentro book version.
i like it because of its singular sound, an alternative to other common taranta clichés (good example to understand that a free palo is not free at all)

Norman you beat me to it.

Tomatito is the guitarist that inspired me to learn taranta. His haunting interpretations are awesome.

Here is a video of me that i made about 3 years ago trying to capture the tomatito taranta style and feel.

While we are discussing the taranta key. I have recently been inspired by this tientos in the taranta key. I am a big fan of Lebrijano and decided to work on a tientos in f# that i could play at gigs.

I worked out the intro, Although only the second half is in this video 0:35, and tried to make a solo version of the falseta. This is a video i made for jai just playing the rhythm slowly so we could get the feel together. I thought some of you may get something out of it. There is an easy falseta that you can learn as well.

That is himself and his amazing guitar for sale.

"Aires Linares" from Paco de lucia's "Fantasia Flamenca" album has always been a favorite.
