That guitar sounds amazing, thnx for sharing!

I've got two orders to finish but I think that due to this list's members desire to see this happen, I'll start this puppy, ASAP, and work it in with my order base. I know what I'm going to do with the fine tuning so it should go fairly fast if I spend more time in the shop..

Tom, will this be modified in any way to cope with nylon strings or is that not a problem?

Si! I have a 1969 plan I drew from one of Paco Del Gastor's Gerundinos but I'm going to build a Santos copy for my next guitar.

This is not a problem with this particular guitar I'm going to build.

Hey Tom have you decided on the scale length? I know Santos built in different lengths. I was also wondering what type of spruce you will use on this project, I read somewhere Santos liked to use a very hard spruce from Czechoslovakia.
I'm thinking of using a really nice hard stiff Adirondack top for my next Santos build, do you see any drawbacks in me using this particular spruce? I'm planning to go a little thinner to keep the mass down and hopefully take advantage of its strengths.

I don't see any reason why you shouldn't try a stiff top, but for me, I'll use a medium stiff Engelmann top as it carries good musical quality, and it will be stiff enough for a thin flamenco top; about 2 mm thick.

The scale length will be 655 mm, the same as the Reyes style.
