Isn't there enough albums from first class guitarists?

who maintained the contrary?

quote:

What's it that Paco has but other good guitarists don't have nowadays?

who said that other guitarists aren't good ?

----

but anyway, i think you have no clue about the influence which paco had on all these guitarists you mentioned and many more.

lets ask jason or adam del monte or flavio or anyone else if they would be composing and playing exactly the same stuff , if paco wouldn't exist at all !

you might be surprised with their answer

cositas buenas is a masterpiece

Totally .
it's one of my favorite albums of all time ..
Specially the Bulería -> *Que Venga el Alba* with Camarón's voice I never get bored of it

I have that with the whole album, its very complex music and I can just keep listening to it without getting bored for ages, its also one of my favorites albums of all time .
But lets get back ontopic

You have no clue what Paco has done to for other guitarist and .... yes violinists too, especially for flutists and other musicians (non-musicians too). you know that deep inside. Without him even the human race wouldn't exist.

Go ask and you will be surprised.

I think we have lost Nino Josele to the dark side.

Yes it's sad. I think the trouble started when he cut his hair short and started wearing a tie.
I hope it's just a phase.

I just heard 'Española' for the first time yesterday and it was amazingly disappointing, I couldn't believe some of the stuff there, like that first track where it sounds like he wants to be Mason Williams, just embarassing. And all the brass...

Oh well...back to his first two discs, and especially 'Teatro Real' with El Cigala.

His skills are obvious. But I dont pray to him.

And,.. if he wouldnt have been there to bring flamenco in the next century,...other would have been as it is the case now. So... lets not exaggerate. (Thats the job of the Paco forum guys. ^^)

In fact I asked some of them and they all said:

"Paco es malo pero no tengo cojones para decirlo."

or something to that effect.

i doubt that any of these players would say that paco is bad! and that they just don't say it because they are scared to say it!

maybe meanwhile they prefer to hear recordings from others. thats ok.
i also hear 90% other stuff than paco since months. there is always something good and new.

but your answer: i guess you asked the mirror, instead of these guys or any other serious flamenco guitar player.

anyway, we are drifting off.

you hate paco, don't like him, or whatever, point taken, accepted, no problem.

What is so important about what others say about Paco? Everybody should have his own opinion. Adam del Monte is not better in clairvoyance than you,me or anybody else. Anyway... hes not spanish so he has no clue about flamenco at al. LOL

I tease you from time to time in a friendly manner (like that babysitting). At least I think it's only a friendly joke. I hope it doesn't annoy you but if it does I'll stop it.

I also tease Doit but I know he takes it pretty cool. He teases me too.

I should've seen this coming. Nino and Paco, Paco and Nino. Carrots and peas, potatoes and kumaras...

I do believe that this jazz mania and his current style is just a phase. I dearly hope.

I loved his playing in "corren tiempos de alegria".

But I must admit, at the moment Juan Carlos Romero and Diego d M is ruling my world.

Wouldn't mind seeing more of Miguel Cortes though.

Anyway...

Can't wait for Paco's new one I'd give my right arm to play like him

Believe it or not I haven't yet heard his solo stuff.

I have few of his accompaniments, one from Carmen Linares, another from Arcangel, and eh, there were few other bits and pieces in my collection but I can't remember - I'm at work so can't look at what I've got

All of them rock my little world and proves to me that one doesn't have to do blazing runs of picados to play amazing flamenco. Mind you his harmony and musical sensitivity is where it's blazing isn't it?

Must get his albums... Is his solo as good as his accompaniments?
