Well, most probably he learned to play on a right hand guitar, maybe because he didnt have any himself when a kid. I´ve seen quite a few left hand gipsys playing like this. They the play what is normally a pulgar falseta as a picado falseta. Las 3mil viviendas is one of the worst parts of Sevilla, Andalucia and Spain. It has an enourmous amount of unemployment, drugs, crime etc. Its also completely run down. Its where they send gipsys, when they cleaned some part of Sevilla, cant remember which one.

pretty common amongst gyspies. When I met the Gypsy Kings, Andre took my guitar and did the same, upside lefty, but he played Entre dos Aguas, the whole song note for note. It was weird. Another time Mario Reyes came to my gig. He wanted to play and played a little like that upside down, but he was more comfy with the strings switched. So in the break, we switched the strings on my friends guitar and he kicked butt, lead guitar lefty.

But this tres mil appears to be in Alicante - from the comments. I didn't realize there was one there - perhaps 'tres mil' has become a synonym for 'projects; (used to be 'poligano' - I saw a movie on Gitanos where they were talking about are they from India, Egypt, etc., and one kid in the back kept laughing , saying 'Somos del poligano' - 'We're from the projects')

The film mentioned here is PoligOno Sur...its about 3000 viviendas.... Thoose PoligOnos(not poliganos) are usually industrial areas, but you might call them spanish slums as well.Very sad to see that in europe.
I think its just Las Mil viviendas(1000), not Tres Mil(3000). And in the description it says ''Ole los gitanos de Alicante'' so I guess it's in Alicante. Thats what I understand just by reading what it says there.

After looking at a few Hendrix videos, I see they are strung reversed, so the trebles are on the bottom, and chord forms would not be flipped. I stand corrected - v
