Differnt approach on soundports

¡Hola!
After following all the soundportdiscussions and researching a bit on my own, I found a differant way of looking at it in the steelstringworld . The czechian luthier Roman Zajíček of rozawood sees the soundport in the way a good loudspeaker is made and adds something like a tornavoz inside.It gives the braces reinforcement and bundels the sound. Thanks for posting this. From what I have read, most of the luthiers have found that the addition of a reasonably sized sound port does not appreciably diminish the energy at the main top sound hole. Roman makes the statement that "While only making another hole in the side results in losing the acoustic pressure inside the body with fatal impact to the front sound projection," & bases his solutions on dealing with this issue. I just wonder if his, is a solution to a non-existent problem. I think I will post his link on another forum that had quite a few luthiers commenting on sound ports. Interesting stuff!
